iOS 10 Battery Drain Problem Quick Fix
iOS 10 is a major release of iOS operating system released by Apple inc. iOS 10 is the successor of iOS 9, it was announced on June 13, 2016 and released on September 13, 2016. After 10 days Apple release first software update for iOS 10 (iOS 10.0.2). It fixes many bugs especially headphone control bugs etc. In iOS 10 many of the users faces battery drain as well as overheating problem. I am also face that problem but I am not face this problem in iOS 9.3.5. In Apple forum some one post this problem view that communication using this link. Some of the tips to fix your problems are given below.
First and for most step is find your mobile battery usage by Setting > Battery. Here you can find the summary of your mobile battery usage. Then you can analyse which application use more battery and background activity of your mobile application. Turn off background activities this will improve you battery life.
Background App Refresh
Some of the application run in background continuously this will use more battery usage of your mobile. Goto Settings > General > Background App Refresh and turn of Background App Refresh this will improve your battery life.
Location Services Usage
iPhone usages location services while using the application, so you don’t need allow the app use it every time. You can view location services usage by using this option Settings > Privacy > Location Services and change it into While Using the App. This will improve your battery life.
Push regularly fetch and push your emails this will use your mobile battery more and more. Turn off this option or change the fetch interval will improve your mobile battery life. You change this option by Settings > Mails, Contacts and Calendars > Fetch New Data
Turn off Bluetooth, WiFi, Mobile Data and other connectivity options when not in use. This will also save your mobile battery life.
Effects & Wallpaper
Turn off effects especially Reduce Motion by Setting > General > Accessibility. And also don’t use dynamic images use stills this will improve your battery life.
iOS 10 notification area completely changed into two screens use the swipe option you can navigate between those two screen. But more widgets are added in notification area this will use more battery power to update it’s data simply click the Edit button in the notification area and remove unused widgets. This will also improve your mobile battery life.
Facedown Option & Low Power Mode
If your mobile running on low battery then your can use Low Power Mode will improve your mobile battery life. And Facedown also improve your battery life.
If the above options not helpful then try to reset your device by Settings > General > Reset. Before going to reset your device back your data using iCloud or iTunes option. After reset restore your back up this will help you to fix your problem.
Reinstall iOS 10
I think everyone using WiFi to update your device iOS 9.3.5 to iOS 10, try to reinstall iOS 10 using ipsw file this will also solve your problem. If any of the above option not helpful I personally advice you to downgrade your device into iOS 9.3.5.
Note: Keep in your mind, if you are downgrade your device from iOS 10 you can’t use iOS 10 backup to restore.
