Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Samprix (www.samprix.com) collects and how it is used. The site is operated by Samprix Support, contactable at admin@samprix.com.

1. What you enter into our tools

Our tools work in your browser. What you enter into them is not sent to our servers or stored, unless a tool says otherwise on its own page.

The one exception is the AI Doc Editor’s writing help, when it is available and you choose to use it. Then the text you selected, the text around it and your request are sent through our server to Groq, whose hosted AI model writes the answer. We don’t store that text or the answer; Groq handles it under its own terms and privacy policy. Nothing is sent unless you click a writing-help action.

The AI Image Checker reads your image in your browser; the image is not uploaded. To tell whether an image’s signer is recognised, your browser downloads the public C2PA trust lists from GitHub and contentauthenticity.org. Those requests contain nothing about your image.

The Image Compressor, Image Resizer, Image Converter and PDF Compressor upload your file to our own server, which processes it and sends it back. The file and the result are held in the server’s memory, not on disk, and are deleted as soon as your browser has received the result, or after 30 minutes at the latest if it never does. We don’t look at, keep or log your files or their names; the server records only the tool used and the file sizes, to count usage. No one else receives them.

2. Cookies and local storage

• Essential: we store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask again, and likewise whether you’ve already rated a tool.
• Your documents: the AI Doc Editor keeps your documents, their comments and their saved versions in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB), so they’re still there when you come back on the same device. They never leave your device; delete a document in the editor, or clear your browser’s site data, to remove them.
• Analytics: Google Analytics cookies are set only if you click “Accept all”.
• Advertising: Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads (see section 4).

3. Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. Google Analytics collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. It also records a few actions on a tool, such as that the tool was used, an example was loaded or a result was copied. These events name the tool and the button only, never what you typed. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site. If you choose “Essential only”, analytics storage stays disabled and these events aren’t sent.

Separately, and for every visitor, we keep our own anonymous daily totals: how many times each page was viewed and each tool was used that day. Nothing in these totals identifies you: no cookie is set, and no IP address, visitor ID or anything you typed is stored, only the page address and a number. Your IP address is held briefly in our server’s memory to stop one visitor inflating the totals, and is never written down.

4. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to Samprix and/or other sites on the internet.

5. Server logs

Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use these to keep the site secure and working, and keep them for a limited time.

6. Email

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

7. Feedback you send us

Each tool has a box asking whether it did what you needed. If you answer, our server stores your Yes or No, the tool it was about and the time. If you also write a message, we store that too, along with your email address if you choose to give one. We use the address only to reply to you.

Feedback never includes what you typed or pasted into the tool, and we don’t store your IP address with it. Our server counts feedback requests per IP address in memory for 10 minutes to block spam, then forgets them. To have feedback you sent deleted, email us.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Email admin@samprix.com to make a request. Because our tools don’t keep what you enter, most requests will be about analytics, feedback or email correspondence.

9. Children

Samprix isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
